ELECTROTHERAPY

It represents the use of numerous modalities of electric current that are obtained using modern electronic devices for therapeutic purposes. Electrotherapy causes blood vessels to dilate and increases blood and lymph circulation. In that way, the inflammatory process is reduced and it helps to remove the factors that lead to pain and swelling.

It accelerates the regeneration of peripheral nerves and osteogenesis (healing) in bone fractures.

It is most often used in treatment:

  • SPORTS INJURIES
  • ARTHROSIS AND ARTHRITIS
  • SPINNING AND DISTORTION OF JOINTS
  • LIGAMENT AND MUSCLE INJURY
  • NERVE PROBLEMS
  • PAIN IN THE LUMBAR AND NECK OF THE SPINE
  • SICK SHOULDER AND ELBOW

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT LOOK LIKE?

The physiotherapist places therapeutic electrodes on painful and injured places. Depending on the size of the painful region, two to six electrodes are usually placed. Then the electrical device is turned on and the appropriate and correct therapeutic frequency and amplitude are set. The patient feels pleasant sensations and tingling, and no discomfort and pain. After only a few treatments, there is an improvement, reduction of pain and swelling.

Elosan therapy – pain treatment using electrostatics

Elosan therapy aims to alleviate chronic pain – especially soft-tissue rheumatic pain and diffuse, radiating pain – by applying an electrostatic charge to the whole body. The treatment is done upon the instructions of a physician. It is done with the patient standing up in the Elosan Cabin. The person is charged and discharged several times over the course of four minutes. The charge can be felt on the skin and it can be seen through bristling of the hairs on the body.

One double treatment per week over a period of six to nine weeks has been found to be the ideal treatment regimen. In addition to alleviation of pain, most people experience a refreshing feeling and confirm that their quality of life has improved.
